Important Notes:

  • Completion of this form does not guarantee that you will be accepted as a Lessee as the decision for final acceptance is that of the Lessor.
  • Successful applicants are notified within three days.
  • A R253-00 credit check fee is payable by each adult Applicant once application has been accepted.  Please note you are NOT required to pay a credit check fee up front, this will only apply if you are the successful applicant
  • Pets / Animals may NOT under any circumstances be kept in or on the premises.
  • Please ensure that the application form is completed in full in order to be eligible for consideration.
  • Please ensure that you have the following ready before you start your application: scan/ image of your id document, proof of address (utility bill in the applicant’s name), 3 months’ bank statement, 3 months’ payslips (as proof of income), an image or scan of each applicant’s signature.
  • Be aware that should fraudulent or inappropriate documentation or information be supplied to us during the application process, we are required to report same to the Financial Intelligence Centre, which will be reported without further notice to the applicant.   • Failure to submit these documents will result in your application not being considered.

RESIDENTIAL FIC ACT REQUIREMENTS

Dear Applicant,

Kindly be advised that, in line with the Financial Intelligence Centre Act, 38 of 2001 (“FICA”), we are obligated to obtain certain financial information from you at the start of your lease, and on an ongoing basis, from time to time.

Please take note of the following required and accepted documents:

A. Natural Person

Information required for the leaseholder:

  1. Full Name, Date of Birth, Country of Citizenship / Nationality and Identity Number:
    i. For South African residents this means a clearly legible copy of your Green, bar-coded or Smart Card identity document.
    ii. For foreign residents – a clear and legible copy of your valid passport.
    In all instances the copy must show the edges of the document and, in the case of a Smart Card, a copy of the front and back of the card and enlarged to 160%.
    NB! Should your application be successful, an original Identity Document or Passport must be presented on the day of signature of the lease. In the event you arrive for the appointment without your original documents, the appointment will be cancelled or postponed accordingly.
  2. Current Residential (Physical) Address – reflecting your correct name and address.
    i. The following are acceptable and must not be more than 3 months old.
    a. a recent bank statement
    b. telephone or cellular account.
    c. valid television licence.
    d. recent long-term or short-term insurance policy document issued by an insurance company.
    e. recent motor vehicle license documentation.
    f. a statement of account issued by a retail store.
    g. If none of the above are available an affidavit containing name, residential address and identity number. An example of such an affidavit is attached for your ease of reference. It must be signed before any Commissioner or Oaths or at your nearest SAPS station.
    In the event you are a current Tenant making a new application, please be advised this cannot be a Daleglen document as it must be from a third-party independent source for verification purposes.
  3. In addition, for any person authorised to occupy the premises, items 1 and 2 above are required, i.e. confirmation of identity and proof of current residential address.
  4. ALL APPLICANTS must provide a short indication of the source of funds from which you will be paying your monthly rental, for example - salary slip and corresponding bank statement reflecting the salary payments, inheritance or similar must also be provided.
  5. Based on the receipt of the above items, we may request further information or documentation.
  6. By completion and submission of an application, you accept and acknowledge your obligations and confirm that all items will be provided as requested. We will also require these to be updated, urgently upon request, from time to time.
